A folding screen was often decorated with beautiful art, major themes included mythology, scenes of palace life, and nature. It is often associated with intrigue and romance in the literature of China.
Had 4 panels that fold accordion style. The screens are of water color and are different scenes front and back and on each panel something different all depict a flora/fauna motif. Screen/carving is set in frosted glass and surrounded by black resin folding frame. The panels can be folded flat to store the piece when it is not in use.
